Gaddafi's last speech... A MUST READ!!!

Gaddafi’s Last Speech!!! A Must Read In the name of Allah, the …beneficent, the merciful… For 40 years, or was it longer, I can’t remember, I did all I could to give people houses, hospitals, schools, and when they were hungry, I gave them food. I even made Benghazi into farmland from the desert, I stood up to attacks from that cowboy Ronald Reagan, when he killed my adopted orphaned daughter, he was trying to kill me, instead he killed that poor innocent child. Then I helped my brothers and sisters from Africa with money for the African Union. gaddafi_dead_death_photo_10_21_11I did all I could to help people Understand the concept of real democracy, where people’s committees ran our country. But that was never enough, as some told me, even people who had 10 room homes, new suits and furniture, were never satisfied, as selfish as they were they wanted more. They told Americans and other visitors, that they needed “democracy” and “freedom” never realizing it was a cut throat system, where the biggest dog eats the rest, but they were enchanted with those words, never realizing that in America, there was no free medicine, no free hospitals, no free housing, no free education and no free food, except when people had to beg or go to long lines to get soup.

Petrol to sell for N86/litre from January says fg

Petrol to sell for N86/litre from January, 2016 – FG

*Marketers to sell at N86.50;
*New price regime to last for 3 months
*We’ll resist fuel subsidy removal with all our might — NLC
By Victor Ahiuma-Young & Michael Eboh
ABUJA— The Federal Government, yesterday, stated that effective January 1, 2016, Premium Motor Spirit, otherwise known as petrol, would be sold at N86 per litre by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC Retail stations, while other oil marketers would sell at N86.50 per litre.
The Nigerian Labour Congress said, however, that it would resist with all its might, any attempt to remove fuel subsidy.
Speaking to newsmen in Abuja, Executive Secretary of the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency, PPPRA, Mr. Farouk Ahmed, also announced the first quarter 2016 PMS import allocation of three million metric tonnes to the NNPC and other oil marketers.
On the review of the price of petrol, Ahmed said the reduction in the price of the commodity was due to an implementation of the revised components of the Petroleum Products Pricing Template for PMS and household kerosene.
According him, the revised template, which would be reviewed on quarterly basis and which would soon be presented to oil marketers, is geared towards ensuring an efficient and market-driven price that would reflect current realities.
He said: “Since 2007, while crude oil price had been moving up and down, the template remained the same. This had made it necessary for us to introduce a mechanism whereby the template would be sensitive to the price of crude oil.
“However, the template is not static, as there would be a quarterly review and if there is any major shift, the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources would be expected to call for a review, either upward or downward, depending on the market condition.

File: Hawkers of PMS along Kashia road, Kaduna
“If there is no major shift, that is, if there is a marginal change, the price would continue from January to March, 2016. In addition, there would be a Product Pricing Advisory Committee that would be set up to advise the PPPRA concerning movements in the price of crude oil.”
He said the NNPC would sell lower than other oil marketers, due to the fact that it is cheaper for it to import, compared to the independent and major oil marketers.
He listed the major components affected by the review in the pricing template to include: Traders Margin, Lightering Expenses, Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) Charges, Jetty Throughput and Storage Charges, as well as Bridging Fund. Other components include: Retailers, Transports and Dealer margins.
Giving a breakdown of the revised template, Ahmed disclosed that Trader’s margin, which is the amount paid to traders for bringing the commodity into Nigeria, has been eliminated, from N1.47 per litre previously; Lightering Expenses reduced from N4.07 per litre to N2 per litre; NPA, reduced from N0.77 to N0.36 per litre; while Jetty Throughput and Storage charges were reduced from N0.80 and N3, to N0.40 and N1.50 per litre respectively.
On the other hand, Retailers margin was increased to N5 per litre from N4.60; Transporters rose to N3.05 from N2.99; dealers margin was reviewed upward to N1.95 from N1.75, while bridging fund dropped to N4 per litre from N5.85.
To this end, Ahmed put the Ex-depot price of PMS at N77 per litre, compared to N77.66 per litre; open market price would be N86.29 for oil marketers and N85.93 per litre for the NNPC, while he stated that pump price for oil marketers would be N86.50 per litre and NNPC, N86 per litre.
On the issue of PMS import allocation to the NNPC and other marketers, Ahmed said that the PPPRA, in a bid to guarantee uninterrupted fuel supply nationwide, took into consideration the issue of retail outlets ownership, marketers’ performance of previous quarterly allocation, as well as the challenges in sourcing foreign exchange.

Updare from fuel subs

Reactions have continued to trail the federal government directive to scrap the petroleum support fund, also known as fuel subsidy and to peg the pump price of the Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) to N85 per litre.

The fuel scarcity continued throughout the Christmas holidays
There have been mixed reactions since Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu, the minister of state for petroleum resources and group managing director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), made the announcement yesterday, December 25.

While some Nigerians welcomed the announcement by the federal government, other have described the reduction of petrol pump price from N87 to N85 per litre after the removal of fuel subsidy as a failed attempt to deregulate and regulate the sector at the same time.

Meanwhile, many Nigerians during the Christmas celebrations wore long faces occasioned by the acute scarcity of petrol which has drastically affected prices of staple food items sold across markets in the country.

FG SET TO REDUCE PETROL PRICE JANUARY 1ST

The Federal Government would on January 1, 2016 reduce the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit, popularly known as petrol, to N85 per litre.
The Minister of State for Petroleum, Dr. Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu, who broke the news to journalists, during a tour of the Port Harcourt refinery on Christmas Day said that the Federal government is working to reduce the pump price of petrol to about 85 or 86 naira per litre by Jan 1st.
He said efforts were on to get the refinery to achieve 60 percent production capacity and to supply about 11 million liters of petrol daily.
“If you look at the new PPPRA template that we developed and which I just signed off two days ago, when it is announced you will find out that for now ,and I use the emphatic word of the President for now, the price of the refined product will actually be lower than 87 naira, It will be 85. We will probably announce that in January if the prices hold.
“Like I said, we have done a modulation calculation and it is showing us below N87. I imagine that if PPPRA publishes it today, it will become effective immediately.

Christmas

What is the true meaning of Christmas?"

Answer: The true meaning of Christmas is love. John 3:16-17 says, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him." The true meaning of Christmas is the celebration of this incredible act of love.

The real Christmas story is the story of God's becoming a human being in the Person of Jesus Christ. Why did God do such a thing? Because He loves us! Why was Christmas necessary? Because we needed a Savior! Why does God love us so much? Because He is love itself (1 John 4:8). Why do we celebrate Christmas each year? Out of gratitude for what God did for us, we remember His birth by giving each other gifts, worshipping Him, and being especially conscious of the poor and less fortunate.

The true meaning of Christmas is love. God loved His own and provided a way—the only Way—for us to spend eternity with Him. He gave His only Son to take our punishment for our sins. He paid the price in full, and we are free from condemnation when we accept that free gift of love. "But God demonstrated His own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8).

Bishop kukah urges church to be esus like

Bishop Kukah Urges Churches To Be esus-Like

Bishop Matthew Kukah of the Sokoto diocese has sent a strong message to churches in the country that are being run with billions of Naira.

Premium Times reports that the catholic bishop said on Thursday, December 24 that churches should desist from seeing themselves as business ventures. He said the word of God should be free.

Kukah accused the catholic churches of sometimes trying to make profit from religiosity

“It was one of the reasons for Fr Martin Luther’s revolt. But, so much has changed now. Prayer for our people is the duty of all ordained ministers, but today, it has become subject to abuse.

“The embarrassing billions being committed to spiritual matters is an act of outright criminality and nothing to do with the Christian faith. This is one of the damning betrayals of Jesus Christ.

“Had riches been the essence of the mission of Jesus, He would have handed His ministry to bankers and economists such as Matthew or even Judas,

“Had healing been of the greatest importance, perhaps, Luke would have been the head of the Apostles. Rather, he chose Peter who doubted and was rather fickle minded.”

He added that Boko Haram was still a menace in the country.

“The excesses of Boko Haram still haunt the landscape. The Chibok girls are still not found and we will still spend another Christmas without any hope that their laughter will soon return to our homes.

“The engine of political change has still not gathered the steam we had hoped for. The political calendar continues to shift as we witness a domino effect of overturned elections across the states.

“All in all, new anxieties, new battles for power among the elites will likely lead us to loss of more innocent lives and blood. The contest for power continues to take its toll and yet we continue to pray for the stability of the ship of state. We call on our leaders to use the power in their hands for service.”

The Bishop urged Nigerians to take responsibility for their actions as the government could not shoulder all the blame.

“How for example is a government responsible for men whose irresponsible lifestyles lead to their children being sick or out of school?

“How is government responsible for men who decide to marry and bring children into the world when they have no means of bringing them up?

“How is government responsible for domestic violence? How is government responsible for the collapse of family values? How is government responsible for students who decide to cheat in their examinations?

“How is government responsible for men who choose armed robbery rather than hard work? How is government responsible for women who decide to choose a life of prostitution?

“Government can and must create conditions, but we must all become instruments of change. If we take our responsibilities seriously, we can compel government to serve us better.”

Update from biafra

CD condemns Igbos criticizing Biafra protest, calls on youths to shun Fr Mbaka Ministry
By Chimaobi Nwaiwu, Nnewi
As the tension caused by the activities of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB and Indigenous People Of Biafra, IPOB, refuse to die down in the South East part of Nigeria, the campaign for Democracy CD, has lashed out on some selfish Igbo elements who are crucifying the group for their peaceful approach to the demand for the actualization of Sovereign state of Biafra, to shut their mouth, if they do not know what to say.
CD through their South East Chairman, Dede Uzor A. Uzor argued that there is right to peaceful protest, whether what the protesters are reasonable in their demand or not and whether what they are demand is feasible or not, saying that CD will only be against them if they resort to violence or destruction of any kind.
CD also called on the people of South East who are sympathetic to the demands of the two groups to boycott using and buying all the products from the stable of the controversial Catholic Priest, Rev. Fr Ejike Mbaka, who described them as evil, since an evil is not expected to use the product of a saint like Fr Mbaka, until he apologize to MASSOB and IPOB.
CD ask the Catholic authority to call fr Mbaka to order because he is not the only priest in Nigeria and cannot even count as the one of the first 1000 best priests in Nigeria and should not always be be involved in controversy with people and individuals, saying, if he is not tamed, he will end up being an embarrassment to the respected Catholic community.

Buhari show love for christian via Christmas message to Nigerians

Buhari's Christmas Message To Nigerians

President Muhammadu Buhari has sent his felicitations to Christian faithfuls across the country as they celebrate the birthday of Jesus Christ, tomorrow, Friday, December 25, 2015.

Read his message below:

”I felicitate with all Nigerians, especially our Christian brothers and sisters, on the joyous occasion of this year’s Christmas. On this occasion of the commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ, let us all rededicate ourselves to the virtues of peace, love, honesty, justice, equity, piety, humility and service to others which he taught.

President Muhammadu Buhari
There can be no doubt that a greater manifestation of these virtues and ideals in our lives will immensely help us to become a more united, peaceful, secure and progressive nation. Let us also reach out in love and compassion to fellow Nigerians who are in distress at this period of our nation’s history.

I particularly urge you all to remember victims of terrorism and insurgency in the country, especially Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs). The Federal Government will continue to collaborate with state governments and other stakeholders to ease the harsh conditions in IDP camps, while the ultimate objective remains to quickly put an end to insurgency and return the IDPs to their homes.

We must never again allow any group to hold the nation to ransom under whatever guise. Let us also not allow current socio-economic and security challenges to dampen our expectations for a better Nigeria.

This administration has taken a number of measures to restore hope to our people. The 2016 Budget defines our commitment to giving Nigeria a new lease of life. Our change slogan is not a campaign gimmick but a promise that must be kept. We are determined to bring about tangible changes in the lives of our people.

In this regard, efforts will be intensified to recover stolen funds, block revenue leakages and enthrone due process, transparency and accountability. Public office is a public trust that must be held to the highest ethical standards.

I wish all Nigerians a Merry Christmas.

Please drive carefully.”

Chelsea. New manager word to his players

Chelsea interim manager, Guus Hiddink has vowed to return the London club to glory days, adding that any player who does not have the passion to play football can please excuse the team.

Guus Hiddink
Hiddink advised the players to learn from their mistakes in that past six months and strive to move up the English Premier League  table.

He said: “Yesterday I talked fully to the squad. I told them, things happen in football and I want them to look in the mirror, not just two seconds but longer, and see how they can contribute on the way up.

“I told them as professionals to look in the mirror and be ultra-critical. There must be desire to play. If you don’t have it, knock on my door and we’ll talk…briefly. We have to show to ourselves, to the club and to the fans that the team has a big desire to wash away the last half year and go up to the next coming games. If we do that, the results will follow.

“I know the fans will support the team as they did briefly during some executions of the last game. They have the right to express themselves about what happened in the recent past.’’

Biafra twist as Nigeria fire new charges

Nigeria slaps fresh charges on Biafran activist
AFP

Lagos - Nigerian prosecutors have filed fresh charges against a Biafran activist just days after a court ordered his release, court officials said on Wednesday.

Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the outlawed Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), has been held by the Department of State Services (DSS), the country's secret police, since his arrest in October for operating pirate Radio Biafra and belonging to an unlawful organisation.

A court in Abuja last week dropped the case after the prosecution decided to discontinue the trial, but the DSS refused to release him, saying he was under investigation for fresh charges of terrorism and terrorism financing.

A senior court official told AFP on Wednesday that fresh charges, including belonging to an unlawful organisation, had been slapped against the Biafran campaigner and two others before another Abuja high court.

"Kanu and two others are facing fresh charges. They were not in court on Tuesday when the case came up for hearing," he said.

He said the judge then adjourned to a date to be communicated to both the defendants and prosecution.

Kanu has emerged as the new face of the Biafra campaign for a separate state for the Igbo people of southeast, who fought a brutal civil war with Nigerian federal forces from 1967 to 1970.

The conflict, which left some one million dead mainly from starvation and disease, was sparked when Biafran leaders unilaterally declared independence from Nigeria.

Kanu's IPOB has held a series of protests across the country, including the commercial city of Lagos, demanding his release and Biafran independence.

A number of the protesters have been killed in clashes with the Nigerian security forces.

CBN bans the use of CREDIT and DEBIT card from shopping online and abroad

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on Monday ordered commercial banks to stop customers from using their debit and credit cards outside the country.

Following the latest development, banks are beginning to communicate the apex bank’s directive to customers through emails, noting that it is a “temporary measure”.

The directive, which takes effect from January 1, 2016, will no doubt affect access to foreign online retailers. The measure is seen as part of Federal Government’s efforts to obstruct the flow of foreign exchange out of the country following the intense pressure on the naira in the past week, crossing an all time high of over N280 to the dollar.

Already, the naira on Friday strengthened against the dollar after weeks of free fall at the parallel market, gaining N10 to exchange at N270 to a dollar.

The development, which has created huge forex debts with banks’ international financial partners, has forced many DMBs to stop their customers from using their Automatic Teller Machine cards abroad.

COURT SACKED SENATOR IGHOYOTA AMORI AKA CRUISE BOAT SENATOR

The Court of Appeal has sacked Senator Ighoyota Amori, popularly known as the “Cruise Boat Senator” after hosting a spectacular birthday party for himself in the United States on a luxury cruise boat with sexy ladies. Senator Amori’s guests donned only white clothes during the festivities.

Amori represented Delta Central district on PDP’s platform. However, the Court has ordered that Obaisi Ovie Omo-Agege of the Labour Party (LP) be sworn in after a long court case leading to the Appeal Court decision.
It will be recalled that Senator Amori was interviewed by SaharaTV in August where he defended the integrity of former Delta State Governor James Ibori, who has been incarcerated in the UK for financial crimes and laundering money from his obscene looting as Governor.

Amori  said:
“I visit James Ibori once every month. But I am not the only one who visits James Ibori. There is an avalanche of people — ministers, governors, Nigerian ambassadors — visiting James Ibori in prison. That should tell you about the person of James
Ibori.”

How to Keep a Relationship Alive
By: marcel pearl
If you have been in a relationship for a year, five years or even decades, it can be hard to keep things fresh. To keep a relationship alive, you have to work hard. You need to be willing to make an effort to do things out of the ordinary and be spontaneous. Remember why you were attracted to each other in the first place to keep things going. Read on to learn how to keep a relationship alive.

Get out together. Whether it is work or kids or both, you both need to have time for just the two of you. Go to dinner and a movie or just spend the day together at home while the kids go to the babysitter.
Remember why you fell in love in the first place. Talk about the feelings and thoughts you had when you first met, went on the first date and had your first kiss. Remembering these things can bring back those old feelings.

Be spontaneous. Do something together that is fun and unexpected. Getting a little crazy with each other and laughing together can bring you closer.
Add a little mystery to the relationship. Ask your partner out on a date, but don't give them all of the details. Plan a date you know they will love and enjoy. This shows that you still know what they like and enjoy sharing their passions.
Turn a regular night into an exciting event. Stay up late or get out of bed to go in the backyard and lay together under the stars. Take a regular pizza night and turn it into a candle light dinner on the good dishes. You don't have to be at a resort or fancy restaurant to enjoy each others company.

Chelsea set to sack Jose morinho before Saturday - checkout His possible Replacement...

Jose Mourinho’s future as Chelsea manager is in suspense over his failure to lift the team out of their alarming slump, according to British press reports on Wednesday. The Daily Mail said that the Chelsea board was due to meet to discuss Mourinho’s position on Wednesday, while the Daily Telegraph claimed the club’s hierarchy was drawing up a list of potential replacements. Premier League champions last season, Chelsea are currently just a point above the relegation zone after losing nine of their 16 matches to date. They have, however, reached the Champions League last 16. Reports suggest it would cost Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich between £10 million ($15 million, 13.7 million euros) and £40 million to sack Mourinho for a second time, having previously dismissed the Portuguese in 2007. Mourinho signed a new four-year contract in August. Chelsea gave him a public vote of confidence in October, but there has been no official communication from the club on his position since then. Mourinho, whose side host Sunderland in the league on Saturday, was expected to take training as usual at the club’s training ground in Cobham, 17 miles (27 kilometres) southwest of London, on Wednesday. Several newspapers, including The Sun, reported that Chelsea’s players were angered by Mourinho’s claim that they had “betrayed” his work following Monday’s 2-1 defeat at league leaders Leicester City. But midfielder Cesc Fabregas says that it is the players’ responsibility to haul the club out of their current predicament. “We all have to take responsibility,” Fabregas said in a Facebook interview. “If you are a big player and you are paid like a big player, you must play like a big player and behave like a big player. “We can bounce back, 100 percent. There is enough time to achieve it, but we must start now. It is up to us.” Source:- Daily Mail

In Chinese medicine, garlic is used for full recovery of the body. In fact, the Chinese use a small clove of garlic. They put it in the mouth and melt it with their saliva as if it was a candy. This is SHOCKING:scientist reveals the 'TRUE' picture of Jesus Christ...

A forensic expert has recreated the face of Jesus Christ using state-of-the art science according to the Mirror. The resulting face is a far cry from the tall, Caucasian man with light blonde hair that is usually show in bibles and stained glass windows throughout the world. The features of the 'real' Jesus are typical of Middle Eastern Jews in the Galilee area of northern Israel. The striking image was created by Richard Neave, a retired medical artist from the University of Manchester, who used forensic anthropology usually used to solve crimes to build the portrait. He used the fact that before the Crucifixion, Judas Iscariot had to tell the soldiers who Jesus was because they could not tell him apart from his disciples. Neave and his research team were provided with Semite skulls from Israeli archaeologists.

Check out this Amazing ways to get rid of red eyes..(part two)

1 Determine the cause of your eye redness. See an eye specialist for a professional opinion on why your eyes are red and irritated. Be able to provide answers to the following questions to help him or her make an accurate diagnosis: Is this a chronic problem or is this the first occurrence? Do you have any symptoms other than red eyes? How long has this particular occurrence been present? What medications do you take? Include any vitamins or supplements. Do you drink alcohol or use any drugs? Do you have any chronic diseases? What allergies do you suffer from? Have you been under a lot of stress lately? Have you been sleeping enough? Are you eating less, or do you feel dehydrated? Image titled Get Rid of a Red Eye Step 8 2 Reduce the amount of time you look at screens. Studies show that our blinking rate decreases 10-fold when we're staring at screens.[9] Blinking is important to eye health because it keeps our eyes moisturized. Staring at laptops, TV monitors, and other electronic screens can cause your eyes to dry out and redden. If you have to look at screens for extended periods of time, take these precautions[10]: Consciously remind yourself to blink. Follow the 20-20 rule: every twenty minutes, take a break from your screen and do something else for 20 seconds to a minute. Give your eyes a little breather. Lower the brightness on your screen. Place the screen 20-40 inches away from your eyes.[11] Image titled Get Rid of a Red Eye Step 9 3 Adjust your electronic screens.[12] If you have a job for which you have to use a computer or watch TV, you may not be able to reduce your screen time. You can still make small adjustments to lessen the burden on your eyes. Place the screen somewhere it is level with your eyes. You don't want to be looking up or down at the screen. Leave a distance of about 20-40 inches (50-100 cm) between your eyes and the screen. Wear eyewear design to fight eye strain from the glare of light off the screen. If you wear prescription lenses or glasses, ask your eye care expert if the time you spend looking at screens calls for a new prescription. Consider a tint or anti-glare coating to reduce the strain on your eyes. Image titled Get Rid of a Red Eye Step 10 4 Avoid smoking.[13] Irritants like smoke bother your eyes and cause unnecessary redness. Smoking also increases your risk for a variety of eye diseases, including cataracts, macular degeneration, uveitis, diabetic retinopathy, and dry eye syndrome. Smoking while pregnant can even cause infant eye disease in an unborn child. If you're unwilling or unable to quit smoking, make sure to smoke outside to keep your house smoke free. You can also purchase air cleaners to keep your home smoke-free if you smoke indoors.[14] Image titled Get Rid of a Red Eye Step 11 5 Limit your alcohol intake. Drinking too much alcohol dehydrates the body.[15] You lose nutrients important for tear production through increased urination. The combination of dehydration and nutrient loss causes dryness and redness in the eyes. Use a drink calculator to figure out if you're drinking more alcohol than you should.[16] When drinking alcohol, drink plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated.[17] You need enough water in your body to keep your eyes moisturized. Image titled Get Rid of a Red Eye Step 12 6 Eat a balanced diet.[18] The food you eat can impact your eye health, along with the other organs in your body. Eat a balanced diet rich with omega 3 fatty acids (salmon, flaxseed, nuts, etc.) to ensure healthy eyes and prevent inflammation. Vitamins C, E, and zinc prevent eye problems that arise with age. You can find these vitamins in bell peppers, kale, broccoli, cauliflower, strawberries, oranges, cantaloupe, cabbage, tomatoes, raspberries, celery, and spinach.[19] Vitamins B2 and B6 reduce age-related eye diseases and help prevent cataracts. Eat foods like eggs, fresh vegetables, whole cereals, dairy products, sunflower seeds, and meats like tuna, liver, and turkey. Lutein and zeaxanthin protect the eyes from harmful lights. To boost these nutrients in your diet, eat plenty of green peas, green beans, orange bell peppers, corn, tangerines, oranges, mangos, eggs, and dark, green leafy vegetables such as kale, collard greens, broccoli, and spinach. Drink at least 8-10 glasses of water each day. Image titled Get Rid of a Red Eye Step 13 7 Get plenty of sleep. Though this is a common cause of eye redness, it's often ignored. Sleep replenishes your entire body, including your eyes. You should sleep 7 to 8 hours every night.[20] Getting too little sleep can leave eyes dry and irritated, and also result in problems like eye twitching and bags under the eyes. Another benefit of sleep is that it allows time for white blood cells to fight harmful pathogens.[21] Image titled Get Rid of a Red Eye Step 14 8 Manage your allergies. Allergies are a common cause of dry, red, irritated eyes. Seasonal allergies usually kick in at the beginning of spring, when pollen counts are high. The irritation comes from the body releasing histamines to fight off the allergy. The side effect of histamines is dry, itchy eyes. Buy over-the-counter antihistamines to treat your allergies, and drink plenty of water to stay hydrated. You may also be allergic to pet dander. If you notice dry, itchy, or swollen eyes when you're around certain pets, avoid those animals. You can also see a doctor for injections to fight your dander allergy.

How to Get Rid of a Red Eye Have you ever looked in a mirror and noticed that your eyes were red? Whether you've been staring at a computer or TV screen for too long or are suffering from allergies, red eyes can be painful and ugly. Fortunately, there are many ways to reduce the irritation and swelling. Eye redness can go hand-in-hand with dry eyes, so some treatments address both issues. Other problems such as infections, inflammation, ocular trauma, or a foreign body can cause redness. At those times, it is best to seek medical attention. 1 Do your research on eye drops.[1][2] There are many different types of eye drops, each one recommended for different circumstances. For example, if you have red eyes and wear contact lenses, a blood vessel constricting drop may not work. It wouldn't be able to get through the lens to treat your redness. Most eye drops work by constricting the blood vessels in the eyes. By making the blood vessels smaller, they reduce eye redness. Be careful of using these too much because your eyes may get dependent on them. Eventually if you don't use them, you'll get rebound redness which makes your eyes red just because it is craving the constricting agents.[3] Preservative free eye drops tend to be the most natural for you eyes. They come in single vial uses which makes them very hygienic. Image titled Get Rid of a Red Eye Step 2 2 Consult your eye care professional. The best way to choose the right drops is to talk to you a specialist about the cause of your redness. Let him or her diagnose you and choose the best treatment method. If your redness is due to allergies, look for eye drops with antihistamines. Antihistamines can also cause eye dryness/redness, so you can couple these drops with artificial tears. If you have an infection, see your doctor for prescription eye drops that have antibiotics. Be careful with "bacteria-fighting" eye drops. Many people have an allergic reaction to the preservatives in them. You might make your eyes even worse! Image titled Get Rid of a Red Eye Step 3 3 Use a cold compress on your eyes. Cold water will decrease the swelling that causes bloodshot eyes, and will also soothe on your irritated eyes. You can just splash some cold water onto your face.[4] The most common cause of red eyes is allergies. The body releases histamines that dry the eyes, causing blood vessels to swell.[5] Cold water reduces blood flow to the eyes and treats some of this inflammation. Image titled Get Rid of a Red Eye Step 4 4 Use ice or freeze-packs. Using ice is another common and effective way to soothe bloodshot eyes.[6] Ice and freeze packs work the same way cold compresses do, by relieving swelling and reducing the amount of blood flow to the eyes. If you don't have a freeze-pack, place some ice cubes in a clean washcloth. Hold it over your eyes for 4 to 5 minutes. When using extremely cold products like ice or a freezer-pack, always protect your eyes with a thin cloth towel. This prevents ice burn. Image titled Get Rid of a Red Eye Step 5 5 Wait out a burst blood vessel.[7] If you sneeze or cough too hard, or even just rub your eye vigorously, you can cause a blood vessel to burst. Doctors call this "subconjunctival hemorrhage." In most cases, only one eye will be affected, and you won't feel any pain. The blood vessel should heal itself naturally. It can take anywhere from a few days to two weeks. This can also occur if you are taking any blood thinners, doing heavy lifting, are constipated, or engaging in any activity that increases pressure to the head. It can also happen if you have a blood disorder. So if it occurs frequently, visit your eye doctor. Blood tests may be needed. See a doctor if you have any pain, or if you have a chronic disease like diabetes. Image titled Get Rid of a Red Eye Step 6 6 See a doctor if you have pink eye.[8] Just like its name says, pink eye (also known as conjunctivitis) causes your eye to look pink or red. Speak with your doctor immediately if you think you have pink eye. He or she can prescribe antibiotic eye drops or even oral pills, depending on the cause. Pink eye is contagious, so wash your hands with antibacterial soap, clean contact lenses well, and don't rub your eyes. To make sure you have pink eye, check the following: The dryness and redness is only in one eye, or at least began for the first few days as one-sided before spreading. You recently had a viral or bacterial infection (i.e. ear infection, cold or flu) You've been around someone who had pink eye recently

See 10 reasons why nigeria men like to marry village gals as wives...

Most Nigerian Men especially those based In most cities like Lagos, Abuja, Onitsha, etc, always form the habit of going to the villages to pick their wives and here are ten reasons why they love doing so.. City girls are very sophisticated, approachable and good to be with, but why do city men go back to the villages to pick their wives? What is it about village girls that makes them potential and unique life partners? Or is this just a fallacy? Here are 10 reasons why Nigerian men in the cities go back to the village to select their spouse instead of marrying their City counterparts. 1. Food They say the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. Men love food and no man likes to return home and not meet a well prepared meal. Village ladies have the upper hand when it comes to performing wonders in the kitchen. Those delicacies that melt a man’s heart and remind him of those nostalgic past are made real by village ladies. Every meal is likely to be a sensation and not the usual rice and bread that is adopted during bachelorhood, Lagos girls on the other hand dwell on refrigerating and microwaving food which does not give the same result. Some even order meals or drag their spouse to a restaurant. Lagos men would rather go for a home-made meal prepared with fresh ingredients and spiced with condiments rather than keep a daily date in the restaurant. 2. Attitude Village ladies grow up with the right orientation and attitude which is what most Lagos men desire. Little attributes like saying ‘good morning’ and ‘thank you’ can go a long way to make a man happy. Village ladies are brought up with a drilling knowledge of respect and attitude. Lagos ladies exude behaviours that raise doubt about their attitudes and orientation and men try to avoid ladies without the right attitude. 3. Submissive Either by nature or nurture, men feel they are superior to women and like it when they get a lot of respect from women. No man wants to marry a woman if he knows she will challenge his superiority. Lagos men know that most Lagos ladies have been so exposed to similar and equal life styles that can lead to tension in the home. Men know that village ladies pose no threat when it comes to class and level and feel more comfortable with that rather than engaging in a class tug of war with a Lagos lady. 4. Home Village ladies have very homely qualities that make a man happy. They know it is their duties to do the dishes, laundry, cook, make the home and still take care of the children. Lagos ladies however feel that the modern world in its unwritten law desire men to also help in the house chores and not many Lagos men are adept at doing that. With a village lady however, they is not question about who will do the house chores. 5. Career The issue of career is always a big problem to men. As much as Lagos men love successful women, they dislike it when a woman’s job becomes her priority and he his relegated to the second position. The higher a woman goes, the more a man finds her unapproachable. Village ladies are very enterprising instead and know how to combine the home with the family well which is what Lagos men prefer. 6. Beauty Lagos ladies are very attractive but men have discerned the difference between natural beauty and the pancake and lipstick beauty. Lagos ladies are very adept in transforming themselves into angels that it would be difficult to tell the difference between the ‘former and later picture’. City men know they are seeing the real picture when they meet a village lady and not a black-to-white transformation that is typical of Lagos ladies. 7. Understanding Village ladies are cool-headed and have learnt to tame their emotion so as to allow them understand their spouse. Lagos men like it when a woman understands situations without asking too much questions. Lagos ladies though educated and intelligent sometimes lack the basic sense required in understanding the mood and turmoil of a man and this can lead to tension when they cannot act appropriately. Lagos men would rather marry a village lady knowing that there is a telepathic understanding between the two of them. 8. Economical Village ladies understand moderation and have learnt the skills to economise. Lagos men know that the city has its ups and downs and like it when a woman can make do with what is available. Lagos ladies find it difficult to deal with less than they have been exposed to and some can even raise hell if they do not get what they are used to. Lagos men like the fact that the humble upbringing of most village ladies equips them for any situation whether rain or shine. 9. Fidelity The Lagos lifestyle is a wild one and most ladies in the city have been swept away by the tide. Some women find it difficult to deal with the 5exual strength and capacity of their husband because they have been exposed to different $exual escapades. Ironically, it is the same men who engage these ladies who know that it will be dangerous to have them in the home. They feel that their already explored $exuality might pose the possibility of marital infidelity. They feel more confident in marrying village ladies who to an extent can guarantee fidelity. 10. Wife material Wife material is an expression used to describe a lady that encapsulates all the qualities that a man wants in a woman. Lagos men try to select a woman with wife material when they eventually want to get married. They feel that Lagos ladies have little or no wife material and therefore cast their nets in the village where they are likely to find ladies who have yards and yards of wife material.
