Words of REPENTANCE to the youths of today....

You smoke cigarette and weed, you drink all types of alcohol. You are sent to higher institution, you go there, you join cult groups, you go after every girl, you sleep with them & abandon them, you carry gun, you go out with your gang, you go to rob people, you rape your female victims, impregnate some in the process. You murder the 'stubborn' ones, you collect money, you go and assassinate people. You get initiated in every bad guys group on campus, they give you ranks like "Ibaka", "capo", etc. You dont attend lectures, you threaten your lecturers & they pass you in the exams you did not write. Your parents are at home, rejoicing 'my son is in school.' Your gang tells you that you are safe with them, no shaking. You take all sorts of oaths in the name of "Blending". They flog you throughout the night, they make you enter inside a grave, six or more guys will be ordered to fill up the grave while you try to jump out from it. If you succeed in jumping out, fine, if you don't succeed, you will be buried alive. They use hot iron or ax to give you marks, all in the name of transforming you into a real man. You don't ask yourself 'What is the essence of these pains I'm passing through?", "How much salary will I be paid?", "Where will this lifestyle lead me to ?", "If i die here, what will be my fate. " All you want to be called a 'deadly guy', 'cartel man' 'badoo'. You forget that if anything happens to you now, those friends who tell you that you are safe will abandon you. Life is too short , the girl you are having sex with, you don't know where she belongs, she may be from the water. You are just taking in smoke into your body, drinking poisons, codine, tramadol etc, things that will make your life shorter, in the name of "getting high". Your heart is hardened that you cut your fellow human being with axe and matchet without mercy, you shed blood without feelings, after all 'he is our enemy'. Which enemy is he?, which organisation/ country are you fighting for? Do you know that there is only one life? Do you think that those charms will protect you forever? Now, take a look at your life, smoke, drink, go to operations, steal, go to night clubs, sleep with women, that's all. Do you ever think of your future? The next thing you will say is 'The government is corrupt. ' Yourself, how did you make your bed? Those people who make you feel like a lord,... one good day, death will come, your charms, gang, weapons, will not stop it. Try to visit mortuaries & see where bodies which were very alive before are lying lifeless, hopeless & helpless. Nobody comes to bring them food, nobody comes to ask them "How are you doing? " Nobody comes to stay with them, nobody comes to visit them. They are abandoned there till the day they will be put inside the grave. Where are the might, power, fame & connections they had? Their own has ended. Amend your ways. Take your time to read and think about this thoroughly... I sincerely guess it's a time for stock taking and sober reflection even as we contend earnestly for the faith and gladsomely awaits His second coming. Remember, Christ in you is the hope of Glory. Is Christ truly in you? If not, why not accept HIM now for the effective and massive development of your life for "a life without Christ is in endless crisis" and we can do nothing without him. All those things you have been relying on, boasting of etc doesn't last and will surely fail you but that man you have been busy persecuting, presecuting, maltreating, crucifying, denying, betraying, disgracing etc never FAIL, HE remaineth the same. Why not come to Him, for He alone giveth wealth, wisdom, joy as well as peace of mind .

To be a Successful person!

Be Outstanding: The most successful men and women on earth have had to correct certain weak spots in their personalities before they began to succeed. The most outstanding of these weaknesses that stand between men and woman and success are INTOLERANCE, COVETOUSNESS, GREED, JEALOUSY, SUSPICION, REVENGE, INFLATED FEELING OF PRIDE, THE TENDENCY TO REAP WHERE THEY HAVE NOT SOWN and THE HABIT OF SPENDING MORE THAN THEY EARN. I want to encourage you to do a realistic assessment of yourself today and make deliberate efforts to knock down each of these obstacles that you may be exhibiting, and believe me, each of them that you overcome will increase your chances for enduring success.

Setting goals....

Setting Goals gives purpose, focus, direction and motivation. Look at different areas of your life and think about the areas that are important to you. Consider those areas of your life that could benefit from some additional attention, those areas that you'd like to improve upon. For example: - Family - Friends - Partner/ Significant other - Career/ Work - Finance - Health/ Wellness - Social life - Home/ Surroundings - Spirituality/ Faith - Work/ Life balance - Time/ Task management - Retirement - Contribution to the greater good - Personal development/ Growth Then think about the most important areas to you right now. Which areas, if worked on/ developed in a positive way would make the greatest impact on your life? Select top 3 and develop SMART goals in those areas.

Be self Motivated....

Unwanted unloved rejected these words are the lies of the enemy. It is the agenda of the enemy to capture the soul. Some people wear these words as a garment and won't let go because they belief it best describes their feelings. You have to break away from these words. The word of God says Jesus was willing to pay the price for you to be saved. If you were the only one that received salvation in the whole earth then it would be that Jesus died for just you. -"Luke 15:3-Then Jesus told them this parable: “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent."-

Wise words with very deep meaning....

Self worth... DEEP WORDS

Subject: SELF WORTH (Very Deep!!!) In a brief conversation, a man asked a woman he was pursuing the question: 'What kind of man are you looking for?' She sat quietly for a moment before looking him in the eye & asking, 'Do you really want to know?' Reluctantly, he said, 'Yes. She began to expound, 'As a woman in this day & age, I am in a position to ask a man what can you do for me that I can't do for myself? I pay my own bills. I take care of my household without the help of any man... or woman for that matter. I am in the position to ask, 'What can you bring to the table?' The man looked at her. Clearly he thought that she was referring to money. She quickly corrected his thought & stated, 'I am not referring to money. I need something more. I need a man who is striving for excellence in every aspect of life. He sat back in his chair, folded his arms, & asked her to explain. She said, 'I need someone who is striving for excellence mentally because I need conversation & mental stimulation. I don't need a simple-minded man. I need someone who is striving for excellence spiritually because I don't need to be unequally yoked...believers mixed with unbelievers is a recipe for disaster. I need a man who is striving for excellence financially because I don't need a financial burden. I need someone who is sensitive enough to understand what I go through as a woman, but strong enough to keep me grounded. I need someone who has integrity in dealing with relationships. Lies and game-playing are not my idea of a strong man. I need a man who is family-oriented. One who can be the leader, priest and provider to the lives entrusted to him by God. I need someone whom I can respect. In order to be submissive, I must respect him. I cannot be submissive to a man who isn't taking care of his business. I have no problem being submissive...he just has to be worthy. And by the way, I am not looking for him...He will find me. He will recognize himself in me. Hey may not be able to explain the connection, but he will always be drawn to me. God made woman to be a help-mate for man. I can't help a man if he can't help himself. When she finished her spill, she looked at him. He sat there with a puzzled look on his face. He said, 'You are asking a lot. She replied, "I'm worth a lot".

All about the wonders of our savior Jesus Christ

A Muslim man in Egypt killed his wife because she was reading the Bible and then buried her with their infant baby and an 8-year old daughter. The girls were buried alive! He then reported to the police that an uncle killed the kids. 15 days later, another family member died. When they went to bury him, they found the 2 little girls under the sand -ALIVE! The country is outraged over the incident, and the man will be executed.. The older girl was asked how she had survived and she says:-'A man wearing shiny white clothes, with bleeding wounds in his hands, came every day to feed us. He woke up my mom so she could nurse my sister,' she said. She was interviewed on Egyptian national TV, by availed Muslim woman news anchor. She said on public TV, 'This was none other than Jesus, because no body else does things like this!' Muslims believe Isa (Jesus) would do this, but the wounds mean He really was crucified, and it's clear also that He is alive! But, it's also clear that the child could not make up a story like this, and there is no way these children could have survived with out a true miracle. Muslim leaders are going to have a hard time to figure out what to do with this, and the popularity of the Passion movie doesn't help! With Egypt at the centre of the media and education in the Middle East , you can be sure this story will spread. Christ is still turning the world upside down! Please let this story be shared. The Lord says, 'I will bless the person who puts his trust in me.' Jeremiah 17 Please forward to all on your list and God will reward you abundantly!! Mark 8:38 which says, 'There fore who so ever shall be ashamed of Me and my Words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man shall also be ashamed of him when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels'....Jesus loves you! {{Note:-I am not responsible for this story. Whether it's true or false. if it is false,we are extremly sorry.i posted this by thinking that it may change any one thoughts about God.

ADVICE TO LADIES

ADVICE TO LADIES!!!

The moment you agree to date a married man, you agree to be a second class woman, and every second class person is classified as a person of lower values.

Now look at it this way.. If he is with you &  his wife calls, he lies that he is still at the office or on an official assignment. You dare not  interrupt his conversation or query him. But you can't call him when he is at home with family.....

My sisters, you be toy? He sneaks you from his car into his hotel room but gives his wife his entire home.....

My beloved sisters grow up, please! He visits you at home & you introduce him to friends & neighbours as your boyfriend thereby blocking your chances of getting a genuine suitor, yet you don't even know the name of the street where he lives.....

My sisters, how long will you continue to sacrifice your future? He takes you out & buys you assorted types of alcoholic drinks, yet he will never allow his wife taste  even a drop of alcoholic drink. Common sense should tell you he is only doing that to get you drunk so he can truly destroy you in bed......

My dear sisters, na your body good pass for experiment? He gets you pregnant & gives you money for abortion, but when his wife gets pregnant he celebrates & gives her money for antenatal & baby things......

My sisters remember he is already raising his family. Oh just in case you don't know, he describes your reactions during sex when he is with his friends but will never mention whatever happens between him & his wife. This makes all his friends see a lesser human in you......

My sisters, na your matter them take they drink beer ooo. He gives you a few cash & you're happy not knowing that whatever money he gives you is what he calls "Body no be firewood allowances" You have his picture on your phone & saved his number as "My Sweetheart" or whatever, yet your picture cannot be found on his phone & your number is saved on his phone as generator mechanic or refuse dispose........

My lovely sisters, you be learner? PLEASE let's give ourselves a proper re-evaluation today. Please help me to pass this message round to educate our ladies by tagging each & everyone on your page.

THE POWER OF DISCIPLINE

THE POWER OF DISCIPLINE

To make the best out of relationship, both parties must be real and both must discipline themselves.
Discipline play an important role in every relationship. And the absences of it make a relationship vold.
Many cheat with their partner, because they lack discipline. Discipline is what make the best in any relationship.
Discipline is not by force but by choice.
When you know what you want, you then must embrace discipline. Because only by so doing you enjoy a relationship. Many married people also need this especially men.
A man who can't discipline himself when he was young how can he discipline himself when he is married. What about a woman too who can't discipline herself when she was young, how then can she discipline herself when she is now married.
No one can discipline you, you only discipline yourself by accepting change and correction.
When you set your goals in life and relationship, then walk in discipline. Because we don't live life by chances, because it is too risky. Only the discipline is distinguished in life. That is why i develop this short article to make you stand out in life. And enjoy your relationship and marriage.
Remember everyone walking in discipline don't cheat. But the absent of it make many cheat.

THE PART OF LOVE

THE PART OF LOVE

Love is so deep that one can't explain, love is a deep Connection that one can't express. Love don't search for flaws unlike lust, that drive only on the surface and fade away quickly. That is why today i will be showing you the part of love in relationships.
Many relationships we see today start off well, but along the line it collapes. When mean the end of both partners. Now one ask where then is love, is this what love is all about. Many come to a conclusion by saying they will not love again.
Many jump into relationship not settling down to check, they believe as it is burning it will always burn, but they never know they must be a part to keep the relationship which many miss. So when they come to realise that there was no love at first they got tired and they begin to find fault in everything their partner do. Today the world is facing such issue both in marriages and relationships. Why you may wonder, but today i will tell you the answer because there was no love. Because love don't break only lust do.
Many rush into relationship and marriages claiming they are in love but no they are in lust. Because love stand above trials and obstacles, love don't believe in divorce and break up, love believe in trust and unity.
Love has a huge part to play for any relationship and marriage to last. When you allow love to play its role, you wouldn't give your partner conditions, because love will draw your partner closer to you and stay committed to you. It is time to allow love work in our lives and relationship. Lets check if we are in love or in lust. Don't jump into any relationship or marriage in lust because it will fade and break up. But when you enter a relationship or marriage in love then there will be no room for break ups. Love has a part to play in everything we do part time.

Mystery as pastor drop dead hours after ministering in a burial ceremony in delta

Mystery as pastor drops dead, hours to ministering at burial service

THE leader of St. John’s Anglican Church, Agbarho in Ughelli North Local Government  Area of Delta State was thrown into confusion when the church vicar, scheduled to lead a team of  ministers at a funeral service, suddenly died after he was rushed to hospital.

Venerable Stephen Eseteru Ogue, JP, 53, author of several Christian books, including ‘Escathology: The rapture of the Saints’, ‘Foundation for marital bliss’ and ‘The potential power of the Holy Spirit’, died at about 7.45 a.m. on Friday, December 11, 2015, two hours  before he was billed to officiate at a funeral service. Until his sudden death of cardiac arrest at Lily Hospital, Deco Road, Warri, the Anglican venerable, according to his first daughter, Oghenenyoreme Ogue, was suffering from diabetes and high blood pressure.

Ogue
The hearse conveying the remains of the  woman whose burial the paster was supposed to preside at, mourners, including a large delegation of the church’s Women Guild as well as members of the Anglican Fasting and Prayer Society, had

gathered in front of the church building as early as 9.25 a.m. for the service billed for 10.00 a.m.

Unaware of the tragedy that had occurred, the mourners, who had been  warned the previous night against lateness to the funeral service, waited patiently for the officiating ministers to receive the body at the West Door (entrance of the church) in accordance with Anglican doctrine but no pastor was in sight. Meanwhile, other  members of the church and visitors kept  trooping into the church premises for the funeral service.

Worried by the development, members of the mourning family  began to  call the vicar’s phone line and a voice answering to urge them to be patient. The calls to Reverend Friday Erutere, billed to assist the venerable at the funeral service, were initially ignored until he answered  to similarly sue for patience, saying he was on his way to the church.

Erutere, who conducted the service of songs with Rev. Wisdom Eghagha, the previous night, had  warned against lateness, stressing that, in Anglican Church, such lapse  attracts a fine of N10,000.

After about 45 minutes delay, a Toyota car, said to be owned by the vicar/archdeacon, hurried into the church premises and made its way straight to the staff quarters ,to the  relief of those waiting  outside the church. Immediately, people  started regrouping around the hearse with the hope that the service would soon begin. But, the relief soon turned to despair when the regrouping band of mourners discovered that the occupants of the car were  only two female members of the family and the pastor’s  driver.

The waiting had just begun. In the anxiety, nobody observed that the car, which was later learnt to have taken the venerable out of the church premises that early morning, did not bring him back. The only occupants of the car at that moment besides the driver, were his wife, Felicia and his eldest daughter, Oghenenyoreme.

Eventually, 60 minutes after the scheduled time of service, Erutere, accompanied by two others, arrived at the West Door to officially receive the corpse and proceeded  with the funeral service.

Despite the commencement of proceedings, anxiety was still palpable as church members continued to ask after the whereabouts of the venerable, who had, on several occasions, enjoined members of the Women’s Guild to be punctual for that particular service and had promised to lead the church delegation to Okpara Inland for the interment. Nobody was providing answers to questions. Not even his assistant who, some observed later, appeared agitated and confused to the extent that, for the first time in a funeral service, there was no communion and there was no offertory. By far, the most worrisome was the  treatment accorded the National President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, who took time off his church’s  three -day crusade

On sport: see what Nigeria coach has to say about his poor performance at the nation cup

CHAN 2016: Oliseh apologises over Super Eagles’ elimination

Coach Sunday Oliseh, has apologised over the failure of his team to make it from their group stage at the ongoing 2016 African Nations Championship.

This was revealed in a tweet by the official handle of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF.

“Coach @SundayOOliseh: We apologize to Nigerians for this loss, we never planned to exit the tournament this early. The boys gave their best”.

Sunday-Oliseh
The Syli Nationale (Guinea) eliminated Sunday Oliseh-tutored Super Eagles at the ongoing CHAN 2016 in Rwanda.

The 1-0 victory at Umuganda Stadium, Gisenyi ensured the Guineans progress while the Eagles will play no more part in the tournament.

Bangoura’s boys had their chance to take the lead as Daouda Camara ease past the Nigeria’s defence to lay an assist for Ibrahim Sankhon who slotted in to an empty net.

Ibrahim Sankhon’s goal for Guinea ended an embarrassing first half for Sunday Oliseh’s boys.

Coach Sunday Oliseh was forced to make an early substitution in the second half with the introduction of the team’s topscorer Chisom Chikatara for Paul Onobi in a move to get the desired result.

The Syli Nationale held on to their lead as they played more defensive with little attacking threat but the Super Eagles couldn’t break through as they lack creativity.

FC Ifeanyi Ubah’s Bright Onyedikachi who came on for Tunde Adeniji in the second half came closer to get an equalizer for the Super Eagles but saw his effort parred off by the goalkeeper.

The Super Eagles were unable to grab an equalizer before the end of regular time to savour a point for qualification as they finished in the third position behind with 4points behind leader Tunisia with 5points and Guinea 5points.

MOTIVATION

Walt Disney: Today Disney rakes in billions from merchandise, movies and theme parks around the world, but Walt Disney himself had a bit of a rough start. He was fired by a newspaper editor because, “he lacked imagination and had no good ideas.” After that, Disney started a number of businesses that didn’t last too long and ended with bankruptcy and failure. He kept plugging along, however, and eventually found a recipe for success that worked.

3.You feel bad, guilty, unhappy, depressed, or sad about your relationship

This tip is based on the quip from Piglet and Winnie the Pooh above. If you don’t feel secure, comfortable, and loved in your relationship, then you may be with the wrong guy. If you’re not happy, it’s a sign you’re in a bad relationship and you should think about leaving.
4.Your family and friends aren’t supportive of your relationship

I don’t think we should choose our boyfriends or husbands based on our family and friends’ opinions, but I do think we should take their opinions into consideration! If your family or friends have strong reservations about your partner, I encourage you to ask for specific reasons. Find out the root of their feelings, and try to be objective.

Sign of a wrong relationship

Sign to wrong relationship :- 1. You keep your partner’s actions and words a secret

If you can’t tell your family or friends about the things your boyfriend or husband says and does, then you may not be in a healthy loving relationship. If you lie to protect him, then it’s time to get out of that bad relationship. You’re not just with the wrong guy…you’re being the wrong type of woman.

2. Your partner wants you to change

If your boyfriend or husband doesn’t love you as you are, run for the hills! This is one of the most important signs of bad relationships: a man who doesn’t love or accept you as you are. Your boyfriend or husband should love you unconditionally, whether you’re rich or poor, big or small, or here or there. You know it’s time to get out when you can’t be yourself.

3. Your partner doesn’t trust you

Constant phone calls, demands on your time, and jealous fits are NOT signs of love! If your husband or boyfriend doesn’t trust you or accuses you of lying, then you need to re-evaluate your love. If he opens your mail or shows up at work unexpectedly, he doesn’t trust you. This is a sign of deep insecurity, which could lead to more serious relationship problems.

4. Your partner puts you down, in private or in front of others

If he calls you names, ridicules your thoughts or opinions, or makes you feel like a fool, then he’s no good for you! You’re better off to break up with him and start getting over your broken heart.

5. You don’t feel like an equal partner in your relationship

Does your husband or boyfriend make all the decisions – or do you? An unequal balance of power is a sign of a bad relationship, and a sign it’s time to get out. If you aren’t being treated equally, read When to Leave a Relationship.

Update

Two centuries ago Sarah Baartman died after years spent in European "freak shows". Now rumours over a possible Hollywood film about Baartman's life have sparked controversy. Sarah Baartman died on 29 December 1815, but her exhibition continued. Her brain, skeleton and sexual organs remained on display in a Paris museum until 1974. Her remains weren't repatriated and buried until 2002. Brought to Europe seemingly on false pretences by a British doctor, stage-named the "Hottentot Venus", she was paraded around "freak shows" in London and Paris, with crowds invited to look at her large buttocks. Today she is seen by many as the epitome of colonial exploitation and racism, of the ridicule and commodification of black people.

However, on Sunday, Kemi's words took a new turn as she said Olamide was a ritualist (Olamide's father died only weeks ago) and also insinuated that the YBNL rapper should be in jail for vandalizing a room at The Headies if it were to happen in the United States.

EFCC STORMS OLISA METUH'S ABUJA HOME, WHISKS HIM AWAY

EFCC Storms Olisa Metuh's Abuja Home, Whisks Him Away

Officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday, January 5, stormed the Abuja home of the spokesman the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Olisa Metuh and whisked him away.

According to a statement by Richard Ihediwa, the special assistant to the party’s national publicity secretary, the anti-graft agency stormed the compound this morning and asked Metuh to follow them to the commission’s headquarters.

He said the operatives who were four in number came in a White unmarked Toyota Hiace bus, adding that when they were asked the reason for the invitation, the officials stated that he has some issues to clear with the commission.

The special assistant said the commission, however, stated that Metuh was not being arrested but friendly invited.

Ihediwa further disclosed that as at the time of issuing this statement, Metuh is still being kept at the commission’s headquarters and his lawyers were making frantic efforts to reach him.

He said though details of why Metuh was invited is yet to be made public by the commission, he recalled that severally the PDP spokesman had alerted in various press conferences and statements that he has been under threat and that the ruling party and the government have been very uncomfortable with his stance.

According to him, the latest being the outburst and threats by the National Chairman of the APC, Chief John Oyegun in reaction to Chief Metuh’s criticisms of President Buhari’s widely criticized response on government’s disobedience of court orders, during the last Wednesday’s Presidential Media chat.

The special assistant said the office of the national publicity secretary will keep the public updated on any development on the issue.
Recall that Metuh was implicated in the $2.1 billion arms contracts as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) traced N1.4 billion to the account of a company allegedly linked to him.

The PDP stalwart had earlier alleged that his life was under threat by some suspected federal government agents, and in a stone throw, report also emerged that the Department of State Service invited him for questioning but his party dismissed the report that he was under investigation by the EFCC.

IMF TO SCRUTINISE FG 2016 BUDGET

IMF to scrutinise FG’s 2016 budget—Lagarde

Says she is not in Nigeria to negotiate loan
Notes with right policies, Nigeria has no reason to borrow
Backs Buhari’s fight against corruption
Ministers’ll give account of funds —Buhari
By Emeka Anaeto, Economy Editor & Levinus Nwabughiogu
ABUJA — There were indications that the 2016 Appropriation Bill may be subjected to further scrutiny and amendments by the International Monetary Fund, IMF, despite being already presented to the National Assembly for legislative action.
Managing Director of IMF, Ms Christine Lagarde, who is visiting Nigeria, told newsmen in Abuja, yesterday, that the multilateral financial institution would be discussing the budget next week with Nigerian officials.
Lagarde responding to question on the 2016 budget said: “A team of economists is going to come here (Nigeria) next week to review and audit (the bill) and have a good discussion with the government authorities to really assess whether the financing is in place, whether the debt is sustainable, whether the borrowing costs are sensible and what strategy must be put in place in order to address challenges going forward.”
The IMF boss, who held meetings with the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN; Finance Minister, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun, as well as a closed door sessions with President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, had refused to comment directly on the content of the 2016 Appropriation Bill because there are procedures at the IMF that must be followed.
She noted that she will continue to have discussions with Nigeria’s Finance Minister and CBN Governor on issues of fiscal discipline, financing, monetary policies and the degree of flexibility, because despite “Nigeria being a vibrant and large economy still has to deal with a lot of poor people with a lot of inequality. Those two components should certainly always be the drivers of reforms, whether it is looking at subsidies, how they are structured and how they can be faced out.”
Don’t strangulate poor Nigerians
Following the dwindling oil prices that have apparently affected the national income of most countries, the IMF boss warned the Federal Government not to strangulate poor Nigerians with rigid economic policies.
She also stated that it was concerned by the condition of teeming population of poor Nigerians who would be affected by the rigidity of policies, stressing the need to inject fiscal discipline in the policy formulations.
According to Lagarde, her mission to Nigeria was not connected to the negotiations of any loan with any kind of conditionalities but to have discussion on the economic reforms and objectives of the present government.

KANU, DASUKI: BUHARI IS NOT DICTATORIAL

Kanu, Dasuki : Buhari not dictatorial — AGF, Ndume, Tsav, others

ABUJA—Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, yesterday, teamed up with other eminent Nigerians to give President Muhammadu Buhari a robust defence after the president came under criticisms for insisting that the Federal Government would not release former National Security Adviser, Col Sambo Dasuki (retd), and the founder of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, despite several court directives to that effect.
Senate Leader, Sen Ali Ndume, former Minister of Transport and Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, chieftain, Chief Ebenezar Babatope and retired Police Commissioner, Alhaji Abubakar Tsav argued that President Buhari was not dictatorial. They said he was only being serious minded, while the Attorney General said the president was just being a promoter of public interest and not a tyrant.
Speaking with Vanguard, yesterday, in an exclusive interview, Malami described as laughable, allegation by some Nigerians that President Muhammadu Buhari is a tyrant.
He said that those making the allegation against Buhari were oblivious of the national interest, which the President was protecting. The minister said that what was at stake was a conflict between public and private interest, insisting that there was no way any right-thinking leader would allow individual interest to override the national interest.

PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI
It will be recalled that the Nigerian Bar Association had on Monday lashed out at the president for not heeding two court judgments directing the Department of State Service, DSS, to release both Col. Dasuki and Kanu, who also runs the Biafra Radio and Television.
But Malami said that in all democracies around the world, national interests are always given top priority over individual interests, especially when such individuals had committed heinous crimes against society.
The minister pointed out that both Dasuki and Kanu, who were recently admitted to bail, had committed very serious crimes against the nation and its people and should not be made to appear as victims of any state victimisation.
Malami said: “These people compromised national interest leading to multiple loss of lives and property of innocent Nigerians and are now crying foul that they did nothing wrong.
“Here, when you weigh national interest against individual interest, the latter must naturally give way.
“Are we now saying that the collective national interest should give way for the individual interest of a few people who are working hard to cause more havoc?
“There is no basis whatsoever to profile Mr. President as a tyrant given the fact that what he is doing is rooted in public interest and to advance the well being of the majority of Nigerians as opposed to the protection of a few privileged and powerful individuals.
“What the president is doing is to end the unfortunate regime of impunity which some of these people used to perpetuate injustice, corruption and lawlessness in the land and that does not amount to tyranny,” Malami said.
According to the minister, Buhari’s actions so far derive strength from Section 15 (4-5) of the Nigerian Constitution, which is to fight corruption holistically and give the nation a new lease of life and has nothing to do with tyranny or oppression.
Section 15 (4) says: “The State shall foster a feeling of belonging and of involvement among the various peoples of the federation to the extent that loyalty to the nation shall override sectional loyalties. Sub-section 5 states that “the State shall abolish all corrupt practices and abuse of power.”

ADEBOYE, ORITSEJAFOR AND MARTINS AGREE 2016 INSPIRES HOPE FOR CHANGE

Adeboye, Oritsejafor, Martins agree 2016 inspires hope for change

WHILE most Nigerians entertain fears about the prospect of Nigeria recovering from current economic morass, eminent Christian leaders including the CAN president, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor and the General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, appear to agree with the former Commonwealth Secretary General, Chief Emeka Anyaoku, that the year inspires hope of a real change for Nigeria.
Catholic Archbishop of Lagos, Most Rev Alfred Adewale Martins called on President Muhammadu Buhari and his government to quickly put in place sound economic policies that would help shore up the nation’s dwindling economy, and save the country from imminent economic collapse.
Asked about his projections into the new year, Pastor Oritsejafor said he was very optimistic that the nation’s fortune will turn for the better, revealing that God gave him a theme titled EPHPHATHA which presupposes that God is about to open does of possibilities for the nation and its citizens in the new year.
He therefore urged fellow Nigerians to be totally obedient to all divine injunctions and things that appear to be hopeless today, including the security situation, will be divinely sorted out, “because the King of kings has promised to open doors of possibilities for the nation to the amazement of all her detractors within and without.”
According to the CAN president the only role expected of those who are called by His name, is to humble themselves, turn from evil ways and pray with obedience to the word of God and He will open doors we never imagined and heal the nation.
Similarly, at the cross-over night service at the new auditorium of the Redemption Camp on Simawa Road, Ogun State, Pastor Adeboye acknowledged that the current economic situation in the nation may get worse after which there will be brighter days.
Revealing his annual prophecies for year under four categories; individuals, Nigeria, international, and the RCCG, he said things are likely to get tougher before they get better in the new year, assuring that there will be light at the end of the tunnel and the masses will have cause to glorify God before the end of the year.
The man of God also urged Nigerians not to forget the place of prayer for God to finish what He started in the country, stressing: “In this new year, things are likely to get tougher before they get better, but things will surely get better before the end of the year, provided we did not rejoice too soon. Keep praying that God will finish what He started last year.”
On the international scene, Daddy GO, as he is fondly called by all and sundry, quoted God as saying there would be progressive occurrence of natural disasters until world leaders realized that such happenings are part of divine judgment against unholy laws made by the countries.
He further said a major war will be averted internationally, warning that a new sexualy transmitted disease will surface.
He said: “On the international scene, natural disasters, floods, fire, earthquake, are likely to get progressively worst until governments realized that these are part of divine judgment against those who enact unholy laws. If Government will repent of disdaining Christ and His Church, He will help them win the fight against terrorism.”
For individuals, Adeboye said some families will trace the beginning of their generational blessings to this year. Some will obtain help from unexpected sources, grateful hearts will have more causes to be grateful, noting that the chosen few will receive blessing so large they can hardly contain it.
In all the churches visited by Sunday Vanguard correspondents, the crossover night began with Holy Communion services and sessions of hearty praise and worship to express gratitude to God for His wondrous doings in the passing year.

LAWYER CONFIRM KANU HAS APOLOGISE TO BUHARI AND THE IGBO ELDERS WITH FORMER PRESIDENT

After initial denial, Barrister Vincent Obetta, the lawyer to the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra and director of Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, has finally acknowledged that his client tendered apologies to President Muhammadu Buhari, the former president Goodluck Jonathan and Igbo elders.

Lawyer to Biafra leader, Kanu has confirmed apology to Buhari
Obetta noted ‘there is nothing irregular’ about Kanu’s apology over his ‘uncomplimentary’ comments.

The Punch reported that the lawyer explained that what he denied on behalf of his client was speculation that the leader of IPOB had written letters of apology to Buhari, Jonathan and Igbo elders.

He further confirmed that Kanu tendered the apology in his statement to the Department of State Service when he realized that some of the things he had said against Buhari and others were uncomplimentary considering the African culture of respect to elders.

Kanu’s counsel said: “I denied the ruse making the rounds that my client apologised via a letter to President Muhammadu Buhari, former President Goodluck Jonathan and some Igbo elders.

“I also challenged any reporter to forward to me a copy of the written letter addressed to the President et al. I still maintain my ground that my client Mazi Nnamdi Kanu did not address any letter of apology whatsoever to Buhari, Jonathan and Igbo elders.

“However, I am aware that in the course of making his statements to the SSS (DSS), he acknowledged the fact that certain words he used on these persons/elders during his broadcast were ‘uncomplimentary’ considering the culture and values of the African society to which he belongs.

“He further stated that he might write a letter of apology to the President to express his regret over the use of such words on him. But up until this moment, such letter, to my knowledge, has not been written. And I challenge anybody that has a copy of such to make it public.”

This disclosure was made by the managing director, Johan Jemdahl, in a signed statement. Jemdahl explained that the transmitter had been confiscated and the authorities had been informed.

What do the igbos want-Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has queried the rationale behind the on going protest and agitation for a Biafra republic.

Speaking during his maiden media chat on Wednesday December 30, President Buhari insisted that the Igbos are not being marginalised in his government as claimed in some quarters.

President Mohammadu Buhari during his maiden media chat
Buhari maintained that he is not worried about the agitation and said the people claiming to be marginalised have not defined how they are being marginalised

”Why does it have to worry me, when I have militants, Boko Haram and other. They said they are being marginalsed but they haven’t defined the extent of their marginalisation. Who marginalised them? How? Where? Do you know?,” he queried.

Buhari further said he is obliged by the constitution to chose ministers from each state.
”Who is the minister of state for petroleum, is he not Igbo? Who is the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria? Is he not Igbo? Who is minister of labour, science and technology? What do the Igbos want?,” he questioned.
The president revealed that Nnamdi Kanu has both a Nigerian and a British passport and did not use either in entering the country.“There’s a treasonable charge against Kanu and I hope the court will listen to the case against him. Do you know Kanu brought in sophisticated weapon into the country?.”The president called on the media to do more investigative journalism so as to unravel the truth.

Did Christ Embassy Introduce N1,000 Entrance Fee?

A controversial topic is being discussed on various Nigerian online platforms: does a church has the right to introduce fees for entrance?

This time, Christ Embassy is in the centre of attention over alleged introduction of N1,000 fee for the December 31 service.

The topic is being widely discussed on Nairaland. Some participants of the forum justify the decision, others say it is capitalism, not religion. The most surprising part is that some people, probably members of the Pastor Chris Oyakhilome-led Christ Embassy, simply denied such a fee ever existed.

Read the post and some of the reactions below:

“I’m beginning to get more curious and furious about this, it has been going on for about four years now and people are not seeing anything wrong about it or, I say, his members are brainwashed to the highest order not to see anything wrong in this.

“Someone should please call this Christ Embassy church to order, every year they charge people coming to worship with them on the 31st night the sum 1,000 naira as a gate fee. In the previous years they sell tickets before the show, sorry, I mean service, so all who wants to attend the 31st night service must come with their tickets to enter the church auditorium.

“But this year they decided to craft another means of collecting this 1,000 naira, they made it compulsory for each attendees to purchase an electronic gate pass for 1,000 naira. My question is, are they going to dance to the melody of a superstar singer or dance to sound of a superstar DJ? Even the huge yearly program The Experience is free, someone should please call this Loveworld ministry, aka Christ Embassy, to order, reaping off our gullible citizens,” a nairalander wrote in the evening of December 30.

Some replies are really confusing. Maybe there has been a misunderstanding?!

“…Heard same thing last year. I asked a member of christ embassy and he said its not true. …Don’t know what to believe [undecided],” a nairalander, MissSlimbody, wrote.

Pro-Pastor Chris side:

“See the way you are complaining more than the members. The 1,000 naira is to restrict invitation of people to the auditorium because of limited space. If you cannot pay the token, why not approach the other viewing centers? By the way, no one is going to eat their 1,000 naira fee. The money realized will be used for the sponsor and support of the ministry,” jared007 replied.

“This issue of a gate fee for cross over night at Christ Embassy has become a perennial issue. The church has explained why they do it and the members understand the reason. In my honest opinion, if the people who pay are doing so without complaining, I say let the matter rest,” Reptyle wrote.

Nigerians vote against:

“They said that 1,000 is for crowd control… Shocked crowd control for a church… That implies that on the day of judgement heaven might adopt this strategy if the number of those bound for heaven are much… After all they call themselves ‘Christ Embassy’,”  royallord1 stated.

“Why not just go to Femi shrine and listen to true African redemption music, see beautiful girls and have real fun. Take easy with alcohol, smoke some cases if you do, I am sure you will have a beautiful start of the new year. Do not be fooled by usurpers that compounds the problems of Blackman with their indoctrinated and baseless teachings,”  redsun opined.

What is your opinion? Could this decision be justified?
