23 year old singer/actress Selena Gomez went into a bit of a hibernation when she suddenly ended one of her tours. Speculations and the whispers started that she checked into a rehab facility, but in actuality, she had to take some time off for health reasons. She underwent chemotherapy for lupus, which is a very serious autoimmune disease. Selena said, “I was diagnosed with lupus, and I’ve been through chemotherapy. That’s what my break was really about…I could’ve had a stroke. I wanted so badly to say, ‘You guys have no idea. I’m in chemotherapy. You’re a–holes. I locked myself away until I was confident and comfortable again.”
