Durban - Embassy officials are still working with French authorities to establish whether or not any South Africans are amongst the dead and wounded.
This after terrorists affected simultaneous attacks on key locations in the French capitol on Friday which left over 120 dead and scores wounded.
Department of international relations and cooperation spokesperson Nelson Kgwete said that as of Saturday evening, no South African nationals had been identified.
"At this stage we have received no reports of South Africans who have been killed or wounded," he said.
“Officials at our embassy are working with the French authorities and as they identify all of the dead, our point of view on this might change,” he added.
The Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attacks, which saw heavily armed gunmen attack public gatherings of people.
Several terrorists detonated explosive suicide vests.
All eight men behind the attacks have been killed.
