Norway to help revive terror-stricken Northeast 10:11 18/11/2015 Abuja - Norway has pledged to work with the Nigerian government to rebuild destroyed communities and resettle displaced people in the Northeast. The European country's Ambassador to Nigeria, Rolf Ree, made the pledge during a visit to Borno State Governor, Alhaji Kashim Shettima in Maiduguri. Ree said his country was looking forward to assisting the areas affected by the Boko Haram terror to overcome the challenges. “We will support efforts to return people to their homes. We will continue our support for the Save School Initiative and encourage international assistance toward the rebuilding of homes destroyed by Boko Haram,” Ree said. Also Read: Explosion kills 32, wounds 80 in Adamawa State He expressed hope that Norway's commitment and support would attract more humanitarian gesture for displaced persons in Borno and affected Northeast states. Adamawa and Borno are also greatly affected. Shettima commended the gesture by Norway, particularly the country's commitment of $4 million to the Save School Initiative. He described Ree's country as a fore-runner in support and humanitarian services to the states affected by insurgency.
