Musa sure of Eagles’ win in Port Harcourt

Abuja - Super Eagles Captain Ahmed Musa has said they would do better at home, following the barren draw against the Sihlangu Semnikati of Swaziland in a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier on Friday.
Musa also complained of the football pitch, which he said was relatively small and that the lighting system was not effective enough, hence affected their game, but says they will win in Port Harcourt with the backing of their fans.
“We came here looking for a win and I am not happy because we got a draw. Swaziland will have to prepare for a big challenge in Nigeria because it will be a tough game for them. Our supporters know how important this game is and they will be rallying behind us,” he said.
Meanwhile, Swaziland captain Tony Tsabedze says they put up a good fight when they lock horns with the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the second leg of the 2018 World Cup qualifiers on Tuesday.

Speaking after their 0-0 draw at Somhlolo National Stadium last night, the captain said getting such a result against Nigeria was a great improvement. He said the game plan was to contain them and then get them on a counter attack.
“We were up against professionals who are technically smarter than us despite that we were playing at home. The plan was not to go overboard but to contain them and get them on a counter. We executed the game plan well hence the good result."
Sihlangu midfielder Njabulo Ndlovu, who also had a good game, said they played well as a team even though they were a bit nervous at first. But they pulled themselves together and gave their best.
“We were nervous but pulled ourselves together and gave our best. We played very well today as a team and managed to hold them to a draw which is not a bad result. It is not going to be easy but we are hoping to get a good result in Nigeria,” he said.
